Dear Neighbor,
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has issued a permit to Bay Crane Inc for crane operations this Wednesday, July 15, 2026 from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm to remove a defective fan from the Ralph Lauren Restaurant at 115 E Chicago Ave. While unlikely, Thursday, July 16 and Friday, July 17, have been designated as back-up days in the event the work cannot be completed.
Please note:100 feet of sidewalk on the south side of Chicago Ave will be blocked for pedestrian safety. Pedestrians will be redirected to the opposite side of the street at Rush St and Michigan Ave until the crane is removed. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained on E Chicago Ave. Westbound Chicago Ave 66 bus stop will temporarily be moved to the southeast corner of Chicago Ave and Michigan Ave.
