Thriving 21 Weekly Bulletin

September 10, 2026

Hello 21st Ward Family!

I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend—the unofficial final weekend for all-white outfits, firing up the grill and enjoying Summertime Chi!

As summer comes to a close and fall begins, we still have several upcoming events that are well worth attending. This weekend, check out the Maple Park Community Fall Fest at 11712 S. Ada St., the Powerhouse BBQ Fundraiser at 8908 S. Ashland Ave., activities at Agape Church and Ministries at 119th and Lowe, the 79th Street Renaissance Festival with Greater Auburn Gresham, and the Annual Major Taylor Trail Community Bike Ride and Celebration at the Dan Ryan Woods. These are four incredible events hosted by amazing partners in and around the 21st Ward. I hope to see you there!

There is also still time to reserve your seat on our bus to Senior Fest. If you are a 21st Ward resident age 60 or older, call our office at 773-881-9300 to add your name to the list. We currently have 30 residents registered, with plenty of room for more! Join us downtown to learn about services and resources available to Chicago seniors—and enjoy a great time together.

As always, please call our office with any questions, requests or concerns. We are here to serve you because we are always Better Together!

We are Better Together.

— Alderman Ronnie L. Mosley
