August 27th Update

Dear Friend,

Four new bikeways have been selected and designed for the Portage Park Community in 2026. The installation of a new bike lane and three greenways is expected to start this fall on Berteau, Long, Hutchinson and Central. These bikeways will provide a connected network of safe, family-friendly options for residents to reach neighborhood destinations, including schools, parks, and local businesses. The new planned bikeways were selected based on community feedback, priority destinations, and near-term feasibility. This project will help calm traffic without eliminating existing parking.
