2nd District Police Alert - Thefts from Vehicles
ABOUT THE CRIME - THEFTS FROM VEHICLES
This alert gives notice of recent theft from vehicle incidents in the Bronzeville neighborhood, within the 002nd (Wentworth) District.
In the incidents below, two offenders wearing black clothing made entry into parked vehicles by breaking the windows. The offenders then took property from inside the vehicle. These thefts have occurred in the general geographical locations listed below:

300 block of east 38th St. on January 11, 2026 between 12:00 A.M. and 8:30 A.M. (Bronzeville)

300 block of east 38th St. between January 11, 2026 at 10:30 P.M. and January 12, 2026 at 4:00 A.M. (Bronzeville)

300 block of east 38th St. between January 11, 2026 at 3:00 P.M. and January 12, 2026 at 12:00 P.M. (Bronzeville)
OFFENDER DESCRIPTION
Unknown offenders wearing black clothing.

- Pay special attention to your belongings left in your vehicle
- Lock your vehicle and activate the security system, if applicable
- Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of the offender(s) including any vehicle description and license plate information
