Greetings Neighbors,

As we celebrate both Juneteenth and Father’s Day Weekend, I encourage each of us to take time to reflect on the strength, sacrifice, and resilience that have shaped our community.

Juneteenth reminds us of the continued journey toward freedom, equality, and opportunity for all. It is a celebration of our history, our culture, and the generations who paved the way for progress.

This weekend, we also honor the fathers, grandfathers, mentors, and father figures whose love, guidance, and leadership help build strong families and stronger communities.

On behalf of the 16th Ward Aldermanic Service Office, I wish you and your family a safe, joyful, and meaningful holiday weekend. Let us celebrate our past, appreciate those who lead and nurture our families, and continue working together to build a brighter future for the 16th Ward.
