Dear Neighbors, 

Currently, the Lake Shore Drive Bridge remains in an open position due to heat-related issues. A bridge lift was being conducted to allow for the Spirit of Chicago to traverse under it. 

The Chicago Department of Transportation and the Chicago Fire Department are currently working to address the malfunction and restore traffic flow over the bridge on Lake Shore Drive.
