Dear Neighbor,
The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) has issued a permit to Dearborn Engineers and Constructors, Inc for crane operations this Friday, August 7, 2026, at 4:00 am, through Sunday, August 9, 2026, at 10:00 pm as part of the ongoing Galter bridge construction connecting Northwestern Memorial's Galter Pavillion with Northwestern Memorial's Feinberg Pavillion.
This permit was issued today, Thursday, August 6, 2026, by the Chicago Department of Transportation.
Please note: There will be a full weekend closure of Huron Street from St. Clair St to Fairbanks Ct. Westbound Huron St traffic will be detoured to southbound Fairbanks Ct, to westbound Ontario St, to northbound St. Clair St, and back to westbound Huron St. No bus routes will be rerouted as a result of the closure, though CTA routes #3, #66, #120, #121, and #157 may be impacted by higher than usual traffic volumes around this area.
