The 45th Ward mourns the loss of James Furlong, a devoted community member and family man.
Jimmy spent his life in the neighborhood where he grew up, attending Saint Tarcissus school, where he met his wife Kathy, with whom he shared a 42-year marriage.
He took great pride in his seven grandchildren and was dedicated to teaching them that "there are no problems, only solutions."
Jimmy was cherished for his witty humor, contagious laughter, and generosity in sharing a cold drink with family and friends on a hot summer day.
May God bless James Furlong and his family during this challenging time. All are invited to attend the services on Thursday and Friday.
