Dear Chicago,
Recently, a car accident caused damage to the train signals at the CSX Railroad crossing, located at 103rd St and Maplewood Ave. As a result, an emergency street closure on 103rd St is in effect. As a precaution, trains traveling through our area are using train horns and reduced speed.
I was informed that the repairs will be completed tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th, and they anticipate that 103rd Street will be fully open by 4:00 pm. I, along with CSX Railroad, appreciate your patience while these critical repairs are made.
Sincerely,
Matthew J. O'Shea
Alderman, 19th Ward
