44th Ward Special Alert: Cubs NL Division Series Playoffs

Dear Neighbors,

The Chicago Cubs have moved on to the National League Division Series. Congratulations to our home team on advancing past the Wild Card round with their win over the San Diego Padres! The Cubs are now back home and looking to rally—and they’ll need our community’s support as they fight to keep their postseason run alive. Keep track of the postseason schedule
here.

The next game will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, October 8th at 4:08pm at Wrigley Field, with another potential home game Thursday, October 9th at 8:08pm if needed, and a possible Game 5 in Milwaukee on Saturday, October 11th at 3:38pm. Gallagher Way will open three hours before first pitch, and ballpark gates will open two hours before game time.

As always, we expect large crowds and increased activity throughout the neighborhood. Street closures, parking restrictions, and CTA service adjustments will follow standard game-day procedures. You can find general playoff information on our website
here, and night game parking information here. To receive neighborhood updates directly from the Cubs, you can also sign up for their community newsletter here.

For game-day issues such as parking violations, the Cubs Hotline is available at (866) 4-CPD-TOW. You can reach the Cubs directly at (773) 404-CUBS or [email protected] for other questions. As always, please call 911 for emergencies, and text ‘CHIBIZ’ to 6-7-2-8-3 to receive City alerts.
