Dear Chicago,
ï»ż
ï»żThe 2026 street sweeping schedule will begin on Wednesday, April 1st. The Department of Streets and Sanitation sweeps the cityâs streets from April through mid-November, weather permitting. âThe city hangs bright orange temporary parking restrictions the day before sweeping service is scheduled to begin. Those who fail to move their vehicle during the restricted hours, between 9:00am and 2:00pm, will be eligible to receive a $60 ticket. Please keep this information in mind if you are planning to be out of town and leave your vehicle on the street.
