ï»żThe 2026 street sweeping schedule will begin on Wednesday, April 1st. The Department of Streets and Sanitation sweeps the city’s streets from April through mid-November, weather permitting. ​The city hangs bright orange temporary parking restrictions the day before sweeping service is scheduled to begin. Those who fail to move their vehicle during the restricted hours, between 9:00am and 2:00pm, will be eligible to receive a $60 ticket. Please keep this information in mind if you are planning to be out of town and leave your vehicle on the street.

  • Find the section for the address you are seeking
  • After you find the section, click on the 19th Ward Street Sweeping Schedule
  • Locate the section on the schedule, which will provide the borders and the street sweeping dates.Â ï»ż

Note: One side of the street (East/West or North/South) will be swept on the first date, and the other side of the street (East/West or North/South) will be swept on the second date.  


Residents can view street sweepers in real time using the Sweeper Tracker online tool.

Illinois Secure Choice

Illinois Secure Choice is a state-facilitated retirement program that makes it easy to save for retirement. Since it launched in 2018, the program has brought retirement savings access to workers in every county across Illinois. Not only is Illinois Secure Choice open to employees who work for an eligible employer, the program is available to anyone who wants to enroll on their own and start saving. The program is open to employers who have at least 5 employees in every quarter of the previous year, have been in operations for at least 2 years, and do not offer or contribute to a qualified retirement plan.
