If you could spend one million dollars in the 49th Ward, what would you do? Our office is starting our next cycle of Participatory Budgeting for 2026, and idea collection is now open! Now through July 26th, you can submit any ideas you have on how our office should spend $1 million of our Aldermanic Menu (Infrastructure) Funds on infrastructure projects to improve the 49th Ward!

Examples of projects funded in previous cycles include outdoor exercise equipment at Loyola Park, the installation of more public benches throughout the district, and even the installation of new murals. You can learn more about our office's participatory budgeting process here. You can also learn more and submit ideas at our Idea Collection Assembly on Saturday, July 11th, at Gale Community Academy (1631 W Jonquil Terrace) from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
