Dear neighbors,
We are sending this message not to alarm, but to share information in the hopes of keeping everyone safe: this morning there have been numerous confirmed sightings of ICE throughout the West Town Community Area, including neighborhoods surrounding Ukrainian Village, Wicker Park, and the Humboldt Park border.
(1) If you see ICE please report to ICIRR hotline: 855-435-7693
(2) Alderman La Spata and our staff are immediately working with area neighbors, schools, and businesses.
(3) Thank you to our neighbors who are canvassing the area with Know Your Rights information.
(4) Please use our volunteer form if you wish to get involved.
(5) Stop on by 1958 North Milwaukee if you would like Know Your Rights yard signs or window signs. Some time next week we should have more specific Business signs for businesses that wish to post ICE-free notifications
(6) We are hosting a Know Your Rights workshop for business owners on November 4, 2025, at 6pm at the Lincoln Lodge (2040 North Milwaukee). You can register for the event.
The safety of all of our neighbors is our top priority, and we will all continue to do everything possible to share information and work together to keep our neighbors safe.
