If you have noticed tree limbs, street lights out, areas of chronic fly dumping, or any other City services, please help me and my office address local issues by submitting a service request.


With your help, we can have these issues addressed as quickly as possible. Please contact my office to report any City services needed or submit a service request via 311.chicago.gov, the CHI311 Mobile App, or by calling 311 directly. The free CHI 311 mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices and may be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. As always, my office is ready to assist and address your concerns.

WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH SPECIAL FEATURE

HERstory: 16th Ward Golden Star Beulah Coleman was a pillar of strength and service in her community. With a heart devoted to helping others, she poured her time and energy into uplifting neighbors, supporting families, and strengthening the foundation of the 16th Ward through selfless acts of care.


Her commitment to community was rooted in compassion and faith, always putting people first and leading by example. The impact of her kindness and dedication will continue to echo throughout the neighborhood she loved so deeply.

🎓 Attention Chicago High School Seniors!🎓


The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Foundation (CABCF) is now accepting applications for our annual scholarship program!


📅 Deadline: March 15, 2026

💵 Annual Scholarships: Up to $10,000


📚 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Graduating high school senior in the City of Chicago
  • Full-time enrollment in a four-year accredited university
  • Resident of a CABC Ward
  • Submit a 500-word essay
  • One recommendation letter from a teacher, coach, or community leader
  • Completed application submitted by March 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM CST



USPS recommends voters take additional precautions and mail their completed Vote By Mail Ballot by TODAY, Tuesday, March 10!

 

All qualified ballots properly postmarked by Election Day (March 17) and received up to 14 days after (March 31) will be processed and counted for the 2026 Primary Election. The Chicago Board of Elections will send you an email when it receives your ballot return envelope, and again when your ballot has been processed and counted.

 

Please Note: Precinct polling places on Election Day do not have drop boxes. Precinct election judges cannot accept Vote By Mail ballots, and VBM ballots returned at precinct polling places will not be processed. Voters instead can use any of 

 51 Vote Centers  open on Election Day to return their Vote By Mail ballot, including the new downtown voting Supersite at 137 S. State St.

 

Don’t risk a late postmark on your ballot – take any of the steps above to make sure your vote counts!

The Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus Foundation is proud to open applications for our 2026 Scholarship Program, investing in the next generation of Chicago’s leaders.


Each year, CABCF awards scholarships totaling up to $10,000 per student, providing meaningful financial support to graduating Chicagoland high school seniors pursuing their undergraduate degrees.


Eligibility Requirements:



-Graduating senior from a City of Chicago high school

-Accepted and attending a four-year accredited university as a full-time student

-Resident of a Chicago Aldermanic Black Caucus ward

-Submit one letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, or community leader
