March 19th Update

Dear Friend,

The Department of Water Management's private contractor will begin installing an underground sewer structure at the intersection Of W Addison St and N Neva Ave the week of March 23rd. Due to the nature of the work, this intersection will be closed to traffic for the duration of construction and traffic detours will be in place. Eastbound traffic on W Addison St will be detoured South on Harlem Ave to Belmont Ave, East on Belmont Ave to Oak Park Ave, North on Oak Park Ave back to Addison St. The Westbound traffic detour is the reverse. Work at this location is expected to last approximately 4-6 weeks. Thank you for your patience while this infrastructure improvement is completed.

Sincerely,

RESCUE ME

Meet Slater! Slater has quite the backstory. He was found living in an alley, getting by with a makeshift shelter from kind neighbors until he was finally rescued. He is now a happy boy!

Although he arrived in rough shape, these days he's healthier and getting lots of love from his volunteer friends. Slater is sweet, smart, snuggly and playful. He loves being close to his people even if it means dressing up like a shamrock to do so! To see Slater in action, click HERE and HERE.
