POLICY UPDATES FROM ALDERMAN VILLEGAS

✍🏽 ETHICS COMMITTEE: Hearings Held on Ineligible for Rehire List

Alderman Villegas questioned the current process that is in place for adding former City employees to the Ineligible for Rehire list, commonly called the
"Do Not Hire List."

"The Ineligible for Rehire List should not be used as a tool of retribution. It is clear the current procedure is too subjective and due for updating.
I thank Chairman Martin for holding this hearing."

✍🏽 INTRODUCED: Resolution Calling for Companies to Stay Committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Diversity is a powerful asset for companies, bringing together unique perspectives, experiences, and ideas that drive innovation and problem-solving. Inclusive teams foster creativity, improve decision-making, and better reflect the diverse customers they serve.
