Dear Neighbors,

Make your voice heard! It has been proposed to raise property taxes and the fines and fees Chicagoans pay every year, along with regressive ideas like a grocery tax, while opposing new ways of generating revenue that would ease the burden on working people in Chicago.

Enough is enough - join me for a town hall tomorrow evening, 6:00 PM at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, 2247 W Chicago Ave.

We will discuss the current state of the City’s finances with the City Council Office of Financial Analysis (COFA), followed by a discussion on a City Charter and how that can bring greater checks and balances to the fifth floor of City Hall.
