Six Ward Family,

We’re excited to launch our new Wellness Wednesday series this month—an initiative focused on ensuring residents of all ages stay informed, active, and connected to resources that support healthier living in our community.

As we move into the spring season, we begin thinking about a “spring reset” or detox—a time to refresh routines and focus on habits that support both physical and mental well-being. One of the simplest ways to start is by getting moving.

That’s why our first Wellness Wednesday will highlight the benefits of walking. Walking is a low-impact activity that can improve heart health, reduce stress, boost energy, and strengthen muscles. Whether it’s a quick walk around the block, a lap around the track, or a stroll with neighbors, even 30 minutes a day can make a meaningful difference.

We’re proud to partner with Advocate Health and Mather at The Cov as we bring wellness resources and programming to the community.

Stay tuned for more Wellness Wednesday tips, resources, and opportunities to help our community move, forward, and together well this spring.

Warm regards,

Alderman William Hall
