Upcoming Ward 20 Event

Two neighborhood properties are being considered for redevelopment, and community members have another opportunity to learn about what could be next.

Tomorrow, August 18, from 5:30–8 PM, the 20th Ward will host Washington Park/Woodlawn RFP Developer Meeting #2 at St. Edmund’s/CICS Washington Park, 6105 S. Michigan Ave.

The meeting will cover proposals for the former firehouse at 1417–19 E. 62nd Pl. and the former Ross Elementary annex at 6034 S. Wabash Ave.

We encourage Washington Park and Woodlawn residents to attend, hear about the proposals, and remain involved as the process moves forward. Free parking will be available along 61st Street between Michigan and Indiana Avenues.
