Email from 19th Ward Office

Dear Chicago,

If you are the parent of a 7th or 8th grade student, now is the time to start the search for your child's high school. The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and I will host High School 101, an online seminar designed to help guide parents through the high school selection process this Tuesday, September 29th at 7:00pm.

A representative from Chicago Public Schools (CPS) will provide an overview of how to navigate the GoCPS Application Process for the 2027-2028 application cycle. In addition, representatives from the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences and Morgan Park High School will be present to provide information about their schools and answer any questions.

Families in the 19th Ward have many choices when it comes to high school. Please join us for information and tips to help you navigate the process. This free seminar will be conducted entirely via Zoom; to sign up, please click here or visit the 19th Ward website. For more information, please check out cps.edu/gocps for family resources and updates.

Sincerely,

Matthew J. O'Shea

Alderman, 19th Ward
