Whether you come out to enjoy a movie at Lake Shore Park or stop by my Mobile Ward Office at the Division Street Farmers Market, I hope to see you out enjoying the great weather!

Sincerely,

Mary Poppins at Lake Shore Park: Saturday, August 22

Join me this weekend at Lake Shore Park for a magical evening under the stars as we screen the beloved classic Mary Poppins!

Before the movie, we will have some special entertainment for the crowd to enjoy!  Beginning at approximately 7:30 pm, talented actors from our very own Lookingglass Theatre will roam through the audience with circus antics and improvisation, while Mary Poppins—on stilts and carrying her large carpet bag—will hand out popcorn to moviegoers.

Five lucky audience members will also be selected to compete in our “Bad Cockney Accent Competition”! Bring a blanket, bring your friends, and come ready for a jolly good time before the movie takes flight!

Lookingglass Theatre pre-show will begin at approximately 7:30 pm, and the movie will begin at sundown (approximately 8:30 pm).

Alderman Hopkins is proud to support Movies in the Park by underwriting the Lookingglass performance. A warm thank you to the volunteers of Lake Shore Park Advisory Council for their steadfast work organizing events like this for our Streeterville community!
