Dear Neighbor,

Last year, our community showed up in a big way, and this year, we’re doing it again.

Join us as we celebrate 100 years of Black History Month with a powerful, family-friendly gathering at 2026 DuSable Museum Day. This event is more than a celebration, it’s a moment to reflect, learn, and honor the rich history and contributions of Black Americans that continue to shape our city and nation.

I am hosting this event alongside, Mayor Brandon Johnson, Ald. Jeanette Taylor, Karen Freeman-Wilson, and Perri Irmer. This special day brings our community together to uplift the stories that shaped our city and continue to guide our future.
