21st Ward Weekly Bulletin: September 4, 2026

Ronnie Mosley Ward 21
Relevance: 0/10

Summary

Alderman Ronnie L. Mosley’s 21st Ward weekly bulletin does not report any zoning/hearing items, housing/transit policy changes, ordinances, or major budget decisions; it mainly highlights September community updates and service support. It notes city streetwork scheduled in September (DOT paving across multiple South Side corridors) plus public safety items (SplitSec.AI gunshot-detection pilot sign-ups, CAPS meetings, and theft/scam alerts) and logistics like Labor Day closures and adjusted garbage/recycling schedules. Other major announcements include Senior Fest on Sept. 17 (with ward bus transportation), community festivals on Sept. 12 and Sept. 20, and Town Hall meetings held monthly on the 4th Saturday (Jan–Oct).

Thriving 21 Weekly Bulletin

September 4, 2026

Hello 21st Ward Family!

Goodbye, August—and hello, September!

August kept us moving across Chicago and throughout the 21st Ward. Thank you to every organizer, volunteer, and community partner who helped make Summertime Chi so memorable.

September brings even more opportunities to come together, beginning with the City of Chicago’s annual Senior Fest on September 17th at Millennium Park. This free event celebrates Chicago residents age 60 and older with entertainment, activities, and valuable resources.

The 21st Ward will provide bus transportation downtown. To reserve your seat and receive departure details, call our office at 773-881-9300. Space is limited.

Be sure to also mark your calendar for these upcoming community events:

  • September 12: Renaissance Festival and Maple Park Fest
  • September 20: Oakdale Park House Fest

Finally, City offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day, and garbage and recycling schedules will be adjusted. Please review the updated collection schedule for the upcoming week.

September is already shaping up to be another great month in the 21st Ward. As always, we’re Better Together.

We are Better Together.

— Alderman Ronnie L. Mosley
