Throwback Thursday Free Family Event at Cosme Park Today, 6/4

Relevance: 0/10

Summary

Alderman Matt O’Shea’s 19th Ward newsletter focuses on a community event: a “Throwback Thursday” free family gathering at Maggie Cosme Park on June 4 (5:30–7:00 p.m.) with live 1960s music and kids’ activities, plus food available via Calabria on Wheels. The newsletter does not mention zoning/development, housing or transit policy changes, budget decisions, or street-safety projects, and instead includes general information about the state’s Illinois Secure Choice retirement program and employment opportunities.

Email from 19th Ward Office

Dear Chicago,

Throwback Thursdays are back! Join us today, June 4th, at Maggie Cosme Park (9201 S. Longwood Dr.), 5:30-7:00pm, as we celebrate the 1960s. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, scooters, wagons, or strollers with their favorite bright colors, flowers, or peace signs – the more colorful the better! Shannon Ward will provide live music from the 1960s, and Morgan Martin will lead a fun-filled, high-energy instructor-led activity for the kids from Live & Believe Fitness!

Families are encouraged to bring chairs, blankets, and bug spray. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Calabria on Wheels Food Truck.

Throwback Thursday Family Events are sponsored by Alderman Matt O’Shea, Senator Bill Cunningham, State Representative Mary Gill, and the Chicago Park District.

Sincerely,

Matthew J. O'Shea

Alderman, 19th Ward
