Email from 19th Ward Office

Dear Chicago,

Have you noticed a street light out in the area or a pothole on your street? Please help us address these problems by responding to this email with the exact address of the issue. You can also report them by either calling 3-1-1, using the City of Chicago's CHI311 app, or by visiting 311.chicago.gov.

When reporting potholes, please be as specific as possible and provide the exact address. Also, if the pothole is near a sewer, please include that information. Finally, let us know if the pothole is in the traffic or parking lane.

If you are reporting a street light out, please let us know if it is a single light outage or the entire block. Also, indicate whether it is a street or alley light. Finally, please provide an exact address of the light pole - we cannot process a repair request using only an intersection.

With your help, we can tackle these issues as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,

Matthew J. O'Shea

Alderman, 19th Ward
