July 30th Update

Dear Friend,

This week our community experienced an immeasurable loss. Jack Hunter, a Shabbona Park legend has passed away. Jack was an instructor with the Chicago Park District for 30 years. He organized countless youth sports events and touched the lives of thousands of Northwest Side families. Jack was a coach and mentor that truly enjoyed every minute he was able to help someone. Jack will definitely be missed and forever remembered.

Visitation for Jack will be held at Montclair-Lucania Funeral Home, 6901 W Belmont on Tuesday, August 4th from 3pm to 8pm. Chapel Prayers at St Priscilla Church, 6949 W Addison on Wednesday, August 5th at 9:45am for 10:30am mass. Burial will follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery, 8600 N Milwaukee, Niles.

Sincerely,

Alderman Nicholas Sposato

Meet Seadragon! Is there a cuter puppy than Seadragon? We'll let you be the judge! Goofiness, irresistible pout, sweet puppy face and happy energy! He sits politely for treats and loves to show off his good manners. Even though he's been at the shelter for over a month, you can still see signs of his previous life which included not enough food and too much confinement. Thank goodness those days are over! He now attends playgroup, soaks up love from volunteers and gets to just be a puppy. Come meet him-we'll think you'll fall in love! To see Seadragon in action, click HERE.
