Forest Glen Multi-Use Path Construction Update
I am excited to announce that the Forest Glen Multi-Use Path's Construction is about to begin. This was a Participatory Budgeting project that neighbors voted on in 2022, and we are eager for the work to be completed. The work will include installation of side paths, curb and gutter, ADA ramps, street resurfacing, pavement markings, sewer structures, precast concrete curbs, and signage along Forest Glen Ave.
Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of July 6th and is expected to take 10 weeks. Temporary "No Parking" signs will be periodically installed as required through the construction.
During working hours, a detour will be in place for southbound traffic on Forest Glen, with a complete lane closure from the North Branch of the Chicago River to W. Catalpa. Please watch for signage when traveling through this area.
