Email from 6th Ward Central

Dear Neighbor,

As temperatures across Chicago are expected to reach the 90s this week, I encourage all 6th Ward residents to take precautions and stay safe during this period of extreme heat.

Please stay hydrated, limit outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and check on seniors, neighbors, and loved ones who may be vulnerable to heat-related illnesses.

Cooling centers, libraries, park district facilities, and police stations are available throughout the city for residents seeking relief from the heat. If you are concerned about the well-being of a neighbor or family member, call 3-1-1 to request a wellness check.

Let's continue looking out for one another and keeping our community safe.

Stay cool. Stay safe.

— Alderman William E. Hall
