Community Meeting: Update on Proposed Northwestern
Cancer Center
Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM

Dear Neighbors,

I am co-hosting a community meeting with the Streeterville Organization for Active Residents (SOAR) for Northwestern Medicine to provide an update on their plans for the construction of a new cancer center in Streeterville. The site in question is the currently vacant parcel of land bounded by Fairbanks Court, Huron Street, McClurg Court, and Erie Street.

The Northwestern team has been working to incorporate previously solicited feedback while also moving the proposal from a conceptual stage to a more solidified plan. Updates on traffic circulation, preliminary construction logistics, and a video rendering will be shared.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 10, at 6:00 pm. There is a Zoom webinar option available. For those who choose to attend in person, the meeting will be held at Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women's Hospital in Conference Room L, located on the 3rd floor. Guests can enter the building through the Main Entrance on Prentice Main Drive off of Superior Street. This is the same location as the previous community meeting on this matter in August 2025.

Please register by clicking here, regardless of whether you plan to attend in-person or via Zoom webinar.

Sincerely,

Alderman Brian Hopkins
