Dear 6th Ward,
Good health doesn’t always start with major lifestyle changes — sometimes it starts with small, consistent habits throughout the day.
This Wellness Wednesday, we’re encouraging residents to find simple ways to stay active and prioritize their well-being, even during busy schedules. Whether it’s taking a short walk, stretching between meetings, standing during calls, or choosing the stairs, small moments of movement can make a big difference over time.
Breaking up long periods of sitting can help improve focus, increase energy, and support both physical and mental health. The goal isn’t perfection — it’s consistency.
As we continue working toward healthier communities, we also want to create spaces for honest conversations around women’s health and wellness.
If you have time today, join our partners at Advocate for the Beauty Shop Women’s Health Panel today at Trinity Hospital. This will be an empowering discussion created specifically for women and centered on heart health, gynecological health, patient care, and overall wellness. This event is designed to provide a safe space for women to ask questions, share experiences, and connect with healthcare professionals and community leaders dedicated to improving health outcomes across our communities.
Warm regards,
Alderman William Hall
