September 17th Update

Dear Friend,

Don't forget to join us at our FREE Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, September 19th from 9:30am to noon (or until the truck is full). Prescription drugs (pills only) will be accepted for disposal, and the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation will be selling T-shirts to benefit the families of fallen officers.

This is a drive-thru event at Chicago Read Mental Health Center (South parking lot) located at 4200 N Oak Park Ave. This is a great opportunity to shred important documents, recycle electronics safely, and dispose of prescription drugs properly.

To allow more residents to take advantage of this FREE event, please limit your paper recycling to a three-box limit. Feel free to contact the 38th Ward Office at 773-283-3838 with any questions. Hope to see you there!

Meet Donatello! Once shy and sad, this sensitive boy is now braver, more confident and soaking up every bit of attention he can get. Today's agenda? Sit in the yard, watch the world go by and collect many pets. Donatella has two cherry eyes that need surgical repair outside of what the shelter can provide.
