ONE WEEK MARK! 30th Annual Back to School Picnic Invitation

Dear Neighbor,

We’re just one week away from the 30th Annual 27th Ward Back to School Picnic, and we’d love for you, your family, and your neighbors to join us!

Come out on Saturday, August 8, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Union Park, 1501 W. Randolph Street, for a full day of community, family fun, entertainment, resources, and activities for all ages. We've partnered with a ton of incredible organizations that will make the day memorable!

Our seniors can enjoy bingo, giveaways, and a special live performance, while young people can take part in the Back to School Basketball Camp, featuring a skills camp from 10:00 to 11:00 AM and a tournament from 12:00 to 3:00 PM.

We’ll also have free haircuts, giving away free school supplies, and hosting a College and Career Fair, where attendees can meet employers, learn about available opportunities, and participate in informal interviews.

For 30 years, this picnic has brought our community together before the start of a new school year. We hope you’ll come celebrate with us, reconnect with familiar faces, meet new neighbors, and enjoy everything the day has to offer.
