Dear Neighbors,

As Memorial Day weekend approaches, I would like to wish you and your family a safe, relaxing, and meaningful holiday. Memorial Day is an important time for us to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

I encourage residents to attend the annual Norwood Park Memorial Day Parade on Monday. This longstanding community tradition has been celebrated in Norwood Park for generations and is a wonderful opportunity for neighbors to come together in tribute to our veterans and fallen heroes. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. near Onahan School and will feature veterans organizations, local school groups, community organizations, and marching units.

Please note that there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Monday due to the holiday. Collection services will take place Tuesday through Friday next week on a delayed schedule. Residents are encouraged to keep carts accessible throughout the week and leave them out until they have been serviced.

Additionally, our ward office will be closed on Monday in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen on Tuesday May 26th at 9:00 a.m.
