EcoFest is back

Relevance: 0/10

Summary

47th Ward Alderman Maggie’s newsletter mainly promotes EcoFest, a free sustainability festival at Welles Park on Saturday, May 30 (10 AM–2 PM) with 60+ participating organizations, including recycling/composting resources, native seed giveaways, a climate action fair, and an eco-friendly market. The email does not mention zoning, development approvals, housing, transit/budget policy changes, or street safety decisions; it highlights event logistics and community partners instead.

You're invited to EcoFest at Welles Park on Saturday, May 30th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Now in its sixth year, EcoFest is our community's premier sustainability festival where we come together to take action, reduce waste, and celebrate our planet.

With more than 60 participating organizations, this will be our biggest event yet! It's free, family-friendly with highlights including:

♻️ Recycling drop-off and composting resources

🌱Free native seeds and gardening tips

✊A climate action fair featuring local organizations

🛍️ A sustainable market with eco-friendly vendors

👶🏻 Wiggleworms presented by Old Town School of Folk

EcoFest is made possible by our incredible community partners, including Do Good Gardens, the Lincoln Square Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, Reduce Waste Chicago, WasteNot Compost, the Welles Park Advisory Council, and the 47th Ward Green Council.

See you there!
