MESSAGE FROM ALDERMAN JIM GARDINER | | |
My office would like to wish each of you a safe and happy Fourth of July weekend.
As we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices made by the generations who came before us, and to honor the brave women and men who have served, and continue to serve, in the United States military.
Because of their courage and selfless service, we are blessed to enjoy the freedoms that define our nation.
As you celebrate with family and friends, I also ask that you be mindful of your neighbors, especially families with young children, veterans, and pets, who can be negatively impacted by the sounds of loud fireworks.
May God bless you and your family, and may God continue to bless the
United States of America.
| | |
Proudly Serving,
Alderman Jim Gardiner

Congratulations to 45th Ward resident and my former student Shana McNamara, who graduated from the Chicago Fire Academy as a proud Paramedic this week.
Shana is a graduate of Taft High School (2011) and Onahan Elementary School (2007) and a proud mother to her beautiful daughter.
Shana was assigned South Side Relief and will be applying her new skills as a Paramedic to the good people of this city.
| May God bless the sons and daughters who run towards danger, regardless of consequences, to protect both life and property within the City. | | |

Ellengee Market is a long-standing, family-owned business proudly serving the Jefferson Park community since 1947. What began as a local meat distributor has grown into a trusted neighborhood source for quality USDA Choice meats, produce, and cheeses.
In 2011, Ellengee Market expanded its offerings to the public, making its high-quality products available at wholesale value directly to residents. Today, neighbors can shop a wide selection of fresh, cut-to-order meats including beef, poultry, and pork, along with house-made items such as hamburgers, Italian sausage, and corned beef, as well as everyday staples like steaks, chicken, ribs, bacon, and more.
Ellengee Market remains committed to providing fresh, affordable products while continuing its tradition of serving both local residents and the broader Chicago community.
